About Me

writing

Welcome to Ramblings of a Misguided Blonde.  Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, Lindsey Jenelle Russell.  Where do I begin?  I am a middle-aged single woman who went back to school to earn my teaching certificate.  Now complete, I am certified to teach Spanish and social studies, grades 6-12.  I recently completed a writing certificate program as well.  In 2004, I graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in supply chain management and Spanish.  Yes, I love school.  After I get my career as a teacher going, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in e-learning.   I love technology too.

Currently I live alone in my home town, Omer, Michigan.  My parents, as well as my brother and his family, live nearby.  My family owns and operates Russell Canoe Livery and Campgrounds.  The canoe livery dominates my life during the summer months.  I love it and our customers.  My brother and I will be purchasing the business from our parents.  My dream of becoming a business owner will finally come true after all of these years.

As one might imagine, my main hobbies all involve reading and writing.  They go hand and hand.  I am fortunate to belong to a book club I thoroughly enjoy.  I also belong to one of the oldest writing groups in mid-Michigan, Mid-Michigan Writers.  I am always looking for interesting books, blogs, and websites to share with readers.  I am also open to new ideas for blogposts.  Please feel free to leave a comment, suggestion, or a like.  I look forward to getting to know you all.

Lindsey

    Hey Lindsey:
Took a few minutes to read your blog. I am impressed! This is a completely different side of you than you display at MMW. You are much more natural in this venue than when you read at meetings. The next time you write for MMW follow the pattern you have set in this blog.

    Donnie,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I always tend to bring things to read that are challenging for me. Every time I leave with solid advice that makes my writing better. That is why I bring them! LOL

I will be emailing you shortly.

    Lindsey
